The service was already messed up from the get go. First, I am a Platinum member and was not offered a gift or points. The desk clerk wasn't courteous or polite. I got in the room and the Hotel is a Plus, a plus doesn't use the cheaper regular Best Western pens they use the ones that say PLUS which is a better type of pen. I needed quarters to use on site washers and they said they didn't have any and instead of getting some I had to go out and get them. For breakfast there was no eggs, sausage etc. it was some nasty ass microwaved French toast sticks and potatoes. When I asked I was told the truck wouldn't be there until tomorrow. Management should have sent someone to Walmart etc. to rectify this situation as the main reason I stay at Best Westerns is so I have a nice hot breakfast that isn't just a waffle like Super 8. I was staying at a Best Western PLUS which is supposed to mean even better service and I received worse service then at a Motel 6. This is by far the worst Best Western I have ever stayed at and it is supposed to be better than a Regular Best Western as it is a Plus. It is why I pay to stay there which was 40 miles out of my way because I wanted the service I expect from a Best Western Plus and I received Motel 6 service.
My daughter who is going through breast cancer had to endure a move to a new room ( due to bugs) that had an air conditioner that was so loud you couldn't think. We ended up moving her to a relative in town. I explained to the desk clerk that we wanted credit for that room and she said she would have the manager call me. He didn't. Today, my niece called me to say she was charged for that room! Sneaky. We won't be coming back.
New, clean hotel. I recommend staying here. Good breakfast, warm pool, and a modern key card setup. I'll be back.
We had a huge family reunion in Muskogee so we booked a bunch of rooms. I am not sure where to start......from the rude desk clerk to the bugs in the room to the breakfast that was cold or empty (waiting for refill from an employee found in the kitchen on their personal phone). The elevators were broken..kept opening and closing. The clerk told us she had to reset it but we could use the stairs. I had a huge suitcase! She got it working but it was scary nonetheless to be in it. The pool was sketchy. They claim it is a new renovated hotel but our furniture was chipped, the drawer in one room wouldn't stay closed, it had to be taped shut or it stuck out into the room. The glass closet doors in another room were cracked.
The new Best Western in Muskogee is beautiful! The staff is friendly, and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room was perfect for our weekend get-away. I would definitely stay there again. We did not eat the free breakfast, so I can't tell you anything about that. Only two things kept it from being absolutely perfect: 1) I like a very soft bed. The bed was not awful, but was just not soft enough to prevent my back from aching after two nights. Perhaps an optional mattress pad (or bring your own). 2) I wish there was an option on the shower head to allow less water to flow through.
We stopped to sleep while making a long road trip. The room was clean and comfort ball The pool was not the case though. it had a layer of filth in top including clumps if hair. Breakfast was standard hotel breakfast; nothing fancy. they had a hard time keeping up with the demand of people and the food was consistently gone. We settled for quick bagel and yogurt. For comfort and a quick.place to sleep, it was cheap and good. I wouldn't do an extended stay at this Best Western.
