Also, I was lucky enough to find one of maybe, two Kalashnikov-type rifles they seem to get a year (they're not big on Eastern Block weapons); it was an entirely American made Centurion 39, and it's my favorite rifle to this day.

For all my talk about their cop and military weapons, they do carry lightweight, small framed revolvers that I'd never touch (I do largebore, heavy wheelguns, personally), but are popular with people who think a lighter gun is a better gun, and are certainly worth the gander if that's what you're looking for.
Bottom line, Mike's has a selection that caters to a certain audience, but you never know what you'll find there.
If you're looking for ammunition you can't find at the big box store, Mike's usually carries the good stuff, even if they put a premium price on it. I've a penchant for guns with harder-to-find ammunition, and Mike's is one of my go-to's outside of Tulsa if I need something I can't find elsewhere.
Great place. But there is a rifle on the counter pointed toward the customers that muzzle sweeps anyone who wants to look through the shelves. And there's not even a chamber flag. Come on. Basic firearm safety guys. Good selection of fishing supplies though.
If you're into cop guns, this is the place to go. I personally hate Glocks and AR-platform weapons, but that doesn't make them any less useful, and this is one of the go-to stores for the same guns everyone else is buying.
